Lighting & Compositing

8+ years of specialized experience in cinematic lighting and compositing, across two production paths: real-time rendering in Unreal Engine, and offline rendering using Arnold and V-Ray. This is backed by academic research as well - my Master’s thesis examined how lighting parameters (Lux, CCT, contrast) affect viewer attention and emotional engagement.

Master’s Thesis (Sunway University, 2023) - "Directing Viewer Attention: The Adaptation of Lighting, Colour Management, Colour Psychology, and Sound in Virtual Reality Computer-Generated Imagery Animated Films" - turning academic lighting theory into applied production practice.

Directing

Founder and CGI Director of Ilhamist Studio. My directing path blends cinematic lighting as a storytelling tool with cultural identity. Four short films fully directed and produced, one of them winning two international awards. Scope of the directing role includes: script development, art direction and lighting supervision, production team management, and post-production oversight (editing, compositing, sound).

Visualization (Real-Time / Architectural)

An additional specialty that applies cinematic lighting discipline to the architecture and real estate (AEC) sector. The differentiator here is cinematic lighting craft — not just render speed. Important: this is a visualization specialty, not architectural design — I don’t design buildings.
